Anyone who graduated in the ‘ZOOM generation’ will never underestimate computer proficiency, how much it’s needed and how being skillful in this subject can impact your overall performance. The skills are important not just for operating different applications but also for managing your work, fixing problems and being resourceful when things are not perfect.

College is more than just lectures and exams. Personally, I believe time management is the foundation that supports everything else—from research and writing to mental clarity. Without it, even the best study strategies can fall apart. Strengthening this one skill early on makes space for the rest to grow.

Another essential aspect is staying updated. Digital tools, research platforms, and even communication norms are constantly evolving. Being flexible and curious about learning these new formats is what keeps a student ahead.

Start with one core skill, but remember: learning how to learn is the ultimate game changer.
