Enzymes are used in medicine for a bunch of different treatments. For example, we use digestive enzymes like pancreatin for people who can’t digest food properly, like in cystic fibrosis or chronic pancreatitis. Enzymes like streptokinase or tPA are given to dissolve clots during heart attacks or strokes. In cancer, asparaginase is used in treating ALL by starving cancer cells of asparagine. Some rare genetic diseases like Gaucher or Pompe are treated by replacing missing enzymes through enzyme replacement therapy. Dornase alfa is even used in cystic fibrosis to break down thick mucus in the lungs. We also use enzymes for wound healing (like collagenase) and even for debriding ulcers. So yeah, enzymes aren’t just for digestion—they’re pretty useful across a range of diseases.

Well everyone has assembled it very accurately, I’ll also add that enzymes being biologically active can used in need of deficiency.
