A dry mouth might seem like a small, temporary issue—something you fix with a sip of water. But when it persists, it can signal more than just dehydration.
Body:
Saliva plays a crucial role in maintaining oral health. It helps in cleansing the mouth, neutralizing acids, and protecting teeth from decay. When saliva production decreases, it creates an environment where bacteria can thrive more easily. This can lead to bad breath, increased risk of cavities, difficulty in swallowing, and even changes in taste. Dry mouth is often overlooked, but it can be linked to lifestyle factors, medications, or underlying conditions.
Conclusion :
Addressing dry mouth early can prevent a range of avoidable oral health issues.
