The drug prescribed is METFORMIN . It increases insulin secretion from pancreas . It’s helpful in women with PMOS because like it’s mentioned they have insulin resistance , taking METFORMIN can improve insulin sensitivity and help treat various PMOS symptoms like improve weight management, regulate menstrual cycle and also help with hirsutism caused by excess androgen production.
