Drug discovery isn't what I thought!

Before attending AI in drug discovery workshop, I believed drug discovery is all about lab experiments, testing chemicals based on biological knowledge scientists conducting in lab. Once I attended workshop and it completely changed my perspective. As I thought it’s just not about lab it’s also about data analysis, biology with combination of technology, innovations, molecular interactions and clinical predictions with AI.

What surprised me was AI can actually detect drug molecules and can also predict failures and issues before trail phases and can also speed up delivery of drug . Time consuming drug processes can be shortened with research.

Honestly I would really try AI in pharma as it represents future drug discovery with learning new technologies can challenging, building my skills with present needs and it’s a great opportunity to shape the careers.

Would you explore AI in pharma research or think it’s replacing human talents and skills?

AI definitely is very helpful in research but only when we update our skills and knowledge can we utilize AI properly because AI can make mistakes but our knowledge has to outsmart it; so that we can correct it.

True, the field is changing a lot with AI and data science coming in. It can make research faster and help in avoiding failures early, which is really useful. But I don’t think AI will replace humans. It’s more of a support system to assist scientists, not something that can take over their role.

true. AI can definitely help in drug discovery by predicting future failures, analyzing complex data of the molecules -which can speed up drug discovery, but cannot replace human. though we often choose AI, at the end human judgement is necessary.

Yes AI could prove to be boon in pharma but only when it is used correctly
