Doctors as patients!

Doctors are often said to be more dedicated and promising in their fields of work. This kind of dedication requires them to be more active and attentive. It causes them to have mental frustration, sleepless nights, body ache, eatless days and nights, cramps, etc. Has any patient ever wondered to make them become more better and independent in their daily life, most of the doctors are becoming patients themselves. On top of that they complain that doctors charge high fees, never come on time, doesnt gives discount or vip treatment, etc.

  1. Surgeons and other profesionals who are doing suregery or are part of it face; neck, back, and leg issues, yet they never complain.
  2. Even dentists and other professional who have their hand work constantly face shoulder and hand problems but they never speak of it.
  3. Even the professional who do opd’s and physiotherapists who have constant and prolonged sitting and standing work face Back and Leg issue, still they do not complain.
  4. All the other emergency care professionals who work in a constant tensed environment have sleep and mental health issues, yet they do not dare to speak.

Has it ever crossed our minds that despite facing this issues, the professionals still endure it and never complain. Why? Why do no one understands this dark side of becoming a good professional?

Engaging question:
Has this point ever crossed your mind? How do you tackle it? Have you also silently wished for someone to understand you?

Yes , there’s always a point when we feel that we are also humans and can have issues with health .To avoid this doctors should also get proper week offs and shifts with intervals.

There is often emotional apathy from patients towards doctors in regard to a doctor’s own health. Health care professionals are expected to be constantly available for patients, the profession demands selflessness. Sustainable healthcare depends on healthy doctors.

Powerful reminder! Doctors too need care and empathy. Experiencing the patient role can deepen understanding and compassion in practice.

This is a thoughtful piece that highlights an important issue - even doctors can struggle with vulnerability, bias, and challenges when they become patients. It’s a powerful reminder of the need for empathy, support, and better systems to care for the caregivers too.
