Retail pharmacy are often the first healthcare professionals that patients meet. They dispense medicine, provide counselling and help to ensure medicine are used correctly.
Whereas clinical pharmacist works directly with healthcare team. They review medications, monitors patient therapy, identify ddi, and helps to improve treatment outcomes.
Both fields are important but as I am Pharm D student i feel more interested in clinical pharmacy because it allows me to directly involve in patient care. And improve medication safety and effectiveness.
