Is case documentation really an essential thing for a dentist.
Absolutely. I never knew this when I did my undergraduate. But during my fellow in saveetha I did a better documentation which now helps me in showing my skills and educating patients.
So dentists please document all the case with patients consent it will help in patient education as well as in personal branding.

yes .. u can build a good portfolio as well if u have documented all your cases. hardly anybody does this though.
it is also very necessary in case of medico legal cases.

Documention is important as it gives summary of a patient health status and well being. It is a record for our purpose and in case the other doctor take over the case he gets an fair idea of the case
