MORE THAN SURVIVAL: THE HEART OF BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

What Should You Know?

Breast cancer impacts the body, mind, and spirit; it is more than simply a disease. Thousands of women deal with it each year. Timely treatment, emotional support, and early discovery can make all the difference.

What are the early warning signs?

· Pay attention to the cues your body sends you:

· An underarm or breast lump

· A change in the size or shape of the breasts

· Skin alterations (thickness, dimpling, and redness)

· Inversion, pain, or discharge from the breasts.

· Chronic oedema or pain

· Regular screenings along with monthly self-checks make you the strongest defence.

The emotional aspects that nobody discusses:

· Fear of what might be discovered at each scan

· Fear for her family and future

· Problems with body image following surgery or hair loss

· Despite being surrounded by people, loneliness

· Breast cancer alters relationships, identity, and confidence in addition to health.

Discovering Power Outside of Medicine

· Taking care of the heart and mind is also necessary for true healing.

· Emotional release through journaling and mindfulness Support networks to let her know she’s not alone.

· Therapy and counselling for inner strength.

· Kindly remind yourself that you are more than your wounds.

How you can provide support?

· Listen with compassion, not sympathy.

· Provide modest gestures of kindness, such as meals, childcare, or companionship at appointments.

· Promote normalcy and joy.

· Honor each accomplishment, no matter how minor.

The bigger picture:

Awareness is about humanity, not just about tests.

It’s about supporting patients at their most gloomy moments and their brightest triumphs.

Because raising awareness of breast cancer means this: Get it early. Provide strong support. Heal fully.

In my opinion healing beyond survival means not only enduring a traumatic or life threatening event but also pursuing postive personal growth afterwards with resilience and more confidence. We can say it like “bounce back” with positive energy and more evolved person.

We know that the most tragedic disorders are there but coming to Cancer we all will suddenly loose hope for the survival. Some cancers can’t be find early by people’s themselves but for breast cancer we can investigate our body by simply screening. Healing beyond survival mean a lot like we can’t only reduce the pain by pills but we can heel the wound by our words and art of action as kindness.

“Healing beyond Survival“ is a great phrase. This is what most of the women need. Physical body is required for just survival. But what is most important is beyond the physical existence. Gaining the mental strength and resilience to overcome and tackle “ANY” situation lands us in an ultimate position in life. For me, healing is reaching that position.

“Healing Beyond Survival” refers to fostering the post-treatment emotional, mental, and spiritual journey. It’s about regaining self-assurance, accepting who you are, and drawing strength from the support of others. Rediscovering joy, purpose, and wholeness is the essence of true healing, which transcends medical success. Providing compassionate support and acknowledging each milestone enables survivors to flourish rather than merely endure. :sparkling_heart::sparkles:

Thank you for spreading awareness regarding breast cancer. I know a person who is a victim of it.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancer experienced by women around the world. With early detection, treatment and moral support from the society the cancer warriors can defeat anything!!!

This post will give hope to many people. This is true awareness!

This is an great initiative to raise awareness and educate the public about breat cancer

As epidemiologically speaking the number of cases of this particular cancer type is quite high

Fighting cancer can be challenging physically, mentally and financially. Counselling plays a major role in supporting the patient and the family members. Genetic testing and diagnostic markers are available to diagnose breast cancer at an early stage. Educate the family members to undergo screening, especially the blood relatives, as there is a genetic predisposition for breast cancer.” Prevention is always better than a cure”.

Healing is overcoming from the tragedy from your mind, heart and soul. Without it survival is just staying alive; while healing is a will to live!

The journey of chemotherapy in breast cancer is more than just drugs. It is an emotional roller coaster. Women go through lot of imbalance in their hormones, and along with it, facing society would make them view the illness mentally strenous.

Healing beyond survival is like a holistic care and recovery for the survivor. Cancer not only impacts body but mind as well. It might ruin personal relationships for some & for some it may create lack of acceptance at work place. But since cancer patients go through a lot already, people around them should try to be kind to them and make them feel cared for.

Well explained and beautifully written article!!
