· A change in the size or shape of the breasts
· Skin alterations (thickness, dimpling, and redness)
· Inversion, pain, or discharge from the breasts.
· Chronic oedema or pain
· Regular screenings along with monthly self-checks make you the strongest defence.
The emotional aspects that nobody discusses:
· Fear of what might be discovered at each scan
· Fear for her family and future
· Problems with body image following surgery or hair loss
· Despite being surrounded by people, loneliness
· Breast cancer alters relationships, identity, and confidence in addition to health.
