Beware of fake friendships in college life

There will be chances of making friends who are using you for their advantage. Our field is very competitive, hence we need to focus on our goals first.

Everyone wants to make a good impression from the professors and there will be some students who push others down to shine.

What are your thoughts on this ?

I also agree with this.
People who we think are good in 1st year are not the same person afterwards.
Most of them make friendship with us to get our study plans, for combine study, all study related matters.
Its rare to get a loyal friendship.
So, I think it’s better to stay away or keep distance from everyone.
Friendship with our own soul is good.

In a competitive field like medicine, it’s true that some people may try to use others or bring them down to get ahead, especially when impressing professors becomes a silent race. While staying cautious is wise, it’s more important to stay grounded in your values, focus on your growth, and choose friendships that uplift rather than drain. Let your consistency and kindness speak louder than competition.
