Epipen is epinephrine auto-injector that prevents allergic reactions and can help during life threatening conditions as well.
When to use:-
- Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) symptoms like:

Trouble breathing

Swollen tongue/lips/throat

Skin rash with itching or hives

Feeling faint or dizzy
-
Vomiting after exposure to allergen (e.g., peanuts, insect stings)
How to use ?!

Remove from case
-
Hold it RIGHT
(Blue to the sky, orange to the thigh) -
Remove the BLUE cap
-
Push ORANGE tip into the outer thigh
(Push firmly until you hear a click and hold for 3 seconds) -
Remove and massage the site
-
Lie person down & raise legs
-
If no improvement in 5–15 mins, use second EpiPen
Points to note :-
- Always carry 2 EpiPens
- Call emergency while using it
- Still consult a doctor to be sure
- Don’t wait for the symptoms to get worse.
