Anaphylaxis savior "EpiPen"

Epipen is epinephrine auto-injector that prevents allergic reactions and can help during life threatening conditions as well.

When to use:-

  • Severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) symptoms like:
  1. Trouble breathing

  2. Swollen tongue/lips/throat

  3. Skin rash with itching or hives

  4. Feeling faint or dizzy

  5. Vomiting after exposure to allergen (e.g., peanuts, insect stings)

How to use ?!

  1. Remove from case

  2. Hold it RIGHT
    (Blue to the sky, orange to the thigh)

  3. Remove the BLUE cap

  4. Push ORANGE tip into the outer thigh
    (Push firmly until you hear a click and hold for 3 seconds)

  5. Remove and massage the site

  6. Lie person down & raise legs

  7. If no improvement in 5–15 mins, use second EpiPen

Points to note :-

  1. Always carry 2 EpiPens
  2. Call emergency while using it
  3. Still consult a doctor to be sure
  4. Don’t wait for the symptoms to get worse.
