A Glimpse Into Tomorrow

Scientists Grow Mini Brains to Power Future Computers
In a sci-fi–like breakthrough, researchers at FinalSpark in Switzerland are growing tiny clusters of human brain cells — known as mini brains — and teaching them to perform simple computing tasks.

These living networks, made from stem cells, can communicate and process information like real neurons. Scientists hope they’ll one day power biological computers that use far less energy than silicon chips.

But challenges remain: the organoids survive only about four months and often behave unpredictably. Still, this research could reshape how we think about AI, computing, and the human mind itself.
