# Working as a Doctor in UAE

**Recognized Medical Degree**

- Your MBBS must be from a university recognized by WHO or FAIMER.
- MBBS outside the UAE, the degree should also be listed with the UAE Ministry of Education or equivalent.

**Completion of Internship**

- A one-year clinical internship is mandatory.
- Some UAE universities include internship within the MBBS program.
- MBBS abroad :- the internship must be from a recognize hospital or university.

**Licensing Exams**

1. DHA (Dubai Health Authority)
2. DOH/HAAD (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi)
3. MOHAP (Ministry of Health and Prevention)

**Eligibility**

- MBBS degree
- Internship certificate
- English proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL sometimes)
- Good standing certificate from the medical council of the home country
- Transcripts and clinical training details
- Sometime it is required to have 2 years of clinical experience after internship

**To Improve Job Prospects**

- Get Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified
- Gain clinical experience
- Complete Dataflow verification early to avoid delays
- UAE friendly LinkedIn profile
- Hospital internships or observerships
