Even if we do higher studies in BDs we are going to end up in setting clinic so it is better to shift from BDs to other opportunities like medical writing , MBA etc.,

Dental graduates have lesser opportunities unlike MBBS students.. there are no other option than opening a clinic or joining someone else’s clinic. Teaching and other options are also very limited. Opening a clinic needs a big financial investment and feels like running a business and if u work in a clinic you are not decently paid. So u end up choosing other non clinical options.

the field needs constant upskilling, underpaid profession and price for dental equipment are expensive

Many BDS graduates never open a clinic because of high setup costs, low starting salaries, and a saturated job market that makes it hard to build a stable practice. Instead, they often turn to MBAs, medical writing, or corporate roles, which offer better pay, structured career growth, and flexibility.
