Nothing can be more important than our health and peace of mind. while career matters , but it should not come at cost of our lives.

This is such a relatable post. In healthcare, we often forget ourselves while chasing our goals. Sacrificing sleep or peace feels normal until it starts affecting our health. I think balance is needed—success matters, but so does mental peace.

Yes true, it’s really important to know when to pause and protect our health while chasing career goals. Sacrificing sleep and mental balance might help for a short time, but in the long run it only harms us. I believe we should draw the line when our work starts to negatively affect our physical and mental health. No career is worth losing yourself over.

Healthcare workers scehdules are chaotic across the world. Sleep deprivation and understaffing coupled with uncooperative system and toxic seniors are the main reasons contirubuting to burn outs. Hospitals should set into place mental health rejuvenation sessions for the staff where people can share and support each other when they feel burnt out without it being a taboo.

Health and peace of mind should to be the top priorities in people’s life. Apart from that, spending time with friends and family is also important. We should work to live, not live to work.

As a girl ,the path isn’t always straight society expects us to balance dreams with responsibilities like family pressure , marriage timeline or personal choices
I always have one question ‘’ How much always a girl should sacrifice and give up when it comes to her dream "
The sacrifice shouldn’t come at cost of your identity , happiness, or freedom .Its time to talk more about it ..

When someone’s walking into a bad headspace, we can offer empathy and support. Listen actively, accept their emotions, and encourage self-care. Suggest healthy habits and remind them they’re not alone. We can say, I’m here for you, or It’s okay to prioritize yourself.

This is such a real and important conversation. Sacrificing for a career especially in healthcare is often seen as noble, but it shouldn’t cost you your well-being.
We all push ourselves, but when work starts affecting mental health, relationships, or your sense of self, it’s time to pause.

You should try!

Check in on your friends (and yourself).
Normalize taking breaks.
Remind each other that rest is productive too.

Sometimes the best thing you can say is: “It’s okay to slow down. You don’t have to earn your worth by burning out.”

Guilt is something that also comes when we do sacrifices for our career…. However, we don’t have to sacrifice everything…. Sometimes doing certain things that give us mental ease and is making us happy is actually important …. Breaking from our daily schedule and taking a day off as a cheatday is actually helpful and important :sparkles:

Doing the same work and following the same schedule can lead to burnout and then we’ll start developing guilt … but taking one day for our activity of interest will not only help us progress our interest along with our career but will also give us mental peace and happiness :dove:

Sacrificing for a career is important, but the line should be drawn where it starts harming your health, relationships, or sense of self. A career should enhance life, not consume it entirely. Missing an occasional outing is fine, but sacrificing sleep, mental peace, or core values is too high a price. Balance means working hard while still nurturing personal happiness. Success feels empty if it costs you the very things you’re working for in the first place.

I think the sarifice has truly gone too far when you lose sight of your sanity and reasoning for why you took up your goals in the first place. When the investment starts to feel like a sunk-cost bias, its time to call it quits.
