What was the most interesting thing you learned during your graduation and post-graduation years?

In My Ug We Went To Extension Program To Teach The Primary School Kids About Body Mass Index And How To Take Care Of Their Health.

It Was Really Great Experience The Kids Were Very Active And Listened What We Are Saying And Also They Asked Questions Regarding About The Topics. They Interacted To Us Very Happily And We Are Really Proud And Happy That We Taught Them From Our Field

For me, I learned how lifestyle plays a major role in disease. Many conditions we treat clinically can actually be prevented by simple lifestyle corrections like diet management, daily routine and stress management. It changed the way I look at patient care.

Interesting thing I learned in my graduation and clinical practice is to listen to patients and gain their confidence and then access their condition and treat accordingly, if a patient can’t trust you , you can never truly cure them

The most important thing I learned during my graduation and post graduation is that the practical knowledge is very important than the theoretical knowledge. Because after completing my degree’s while applying for the job they need the practical knowledge more than the theoretical knowledge.

Your mental peace and what you tell yourself before you go to sleep at night is truly the single most important thing that i can cumulatively say. Because you need to be the reason why two people are happy because of you and atleast one of them should be yourself. Simple mantra.

I learnt from my graduation that is to understand the principal instead of understanding the theory, Because the procedure is totally based on the principle not only theory.

I was introduced to the concept of AETCOM from the very beginning which voiced for better communication skills, prevention of malpractice and a harmonious doctor patient relationship. It was disseminated to the class via role plays, interactive sessions and real life case scenarios.

We were exposed to the community at the ground level via FAP which encouraged empathy, bonding, longitudinal care and knowledge of primary healthcare and services.

Meanwhile in between we also developed interest in research due to opportunities like STS.

Last but not the least the clinical subjects gave us an essence of the core medical problems that we will get to deal with in our near future on becoming professionals.

soo many things..

  1. How to register an IPO and what are trade rights
  2. how to make NA plates
  3. Performing Cell culturing without contamination

i did not know how these would help me, but theyve proven to come in handy
More the knowledge the better

Hard work pays in the end! As per my personal experience on the last day of my postgraduation, I could visualize tough and easy-going days and remembering those days felt accomplishment. Sincerity towards work in always fruitful.

One of the most interesting changes I witnessed during dentistry was working on dental loupes in India. Earlier seen mainly in the US, loupes are now transforming precision, ergonomics, and treatment quality here also. It felt like watching Indian dentistry slowly enter a more advanced and detail-oriented clinical era.

During my graduation, I gained hands-on experience in tablet formulation, combining active ingredients, binders, disintegrants. I learned that testing for hardness, friability and weight variation after compression. This process ensures each tablet meets highest efficacy standards for patient care.

As a periodontist the most important thing I learned is to build awareness about importance of gum health among general public. Gum diseases are seldom addressed in the early stages and when they are, most often it will be very late and they mighty loss there teeth by then. Even they will have systemic implication due to poor gum health.

One interesting thing I learned was how strongly lifestyle and daily habits affect health.
Seeing theory connect with real patient improvement felt truly fascinating and rewarding.
