# What are the steps to start dental practice in London after completing BDS in India?

1. Pass the ORE (Overseas Registration Exam) or LDS (Licensure in Dental Surgery).

2. Register with the General Dental Council (GDC).

3. Meet English language requirements (usually IELTS or OET).

ORE consists of a written exam and a practical exam which will test your clinical skills against UK standards which is very much different from India. this requires good experience and expertise to pass. You also have to prove that you have certain amount of experience of practicing in the field before you can apply for the ORE. There will be other visa regulations for obtaining work visa before u can start practicing.

1.Write IELTS. If score is above 7 then you can apply for ORE.  
2.Apply for ORE. It has 2parts , Written and practical. ( both to be written at UK )  
3.Part 1- max 4 attempts. Part 2- should be applied within 5years after success completion of part 1.  
4.Register with GDC.
