Men and women have the same hormones, but the pattern, dominance and fluctuation are very different and that shapes how bodies function day to day.

1. **Rhythm: Cyclical vs Steady**

- Female hormones ( **estrogen, progesterone** ) work in a cyclical pattern, changing across the menstrual cycle.
- Male hormones (mainly **testosterone** ) follow a more stable daily rhythm, with gradual age-related decline.

This is why **energy, mood, pain tolerance and focus** can vary week to week in women, but are more consistent in men.

1. **Hormonal multitasking**

- Estrogen affects not just reproduction, but brain function, bone health, heart health and immunity.
- Testosterone influences muscle mass, motivation, libido and red blood cell production.
- Female hormones often multitask across systems, making women more sensitive to hormonal shifts.

1. **Stress response**

- Chronic stress suppresses estrogen and progesterone more easily.
- In men, stress mainly lowers testosterone over time.
- This difference explains why stress-related symptoms (fatigue, cycle irregularities) show up earlier in women.

1. **Health impact**

- Hormonal imbalance in women can affect menstruation, mood, fertility, metabolism and pain perception.
- In men, imbalance often shows as low energy, reduced muscle mass or mood changes.

> Female hormones are **dynamic** and **adaptive**. Male hormones are **steady** and **consistent**.

Are we still mistaking hormonal biology for personality traits, especially in women? Comment your perspective.
