If you are a cat owner and your cat suddenly shows signs of hyperthermia, you might consider using paracetamol in an emergency until you can reach a veterinarian . That sounds like a great idea if you were dealing with one of your children, but in your cat’s case, the situation could become worse, as paracetamol is highly toxic to cats; in addition to hyperthermia your cat will develop signs of poisoning.

Protect your cat’s life and avoid using human medication without consulting a veterinarian!

Do you know about any other substances that might be safe for us humans but not for our pets?

I have heard people say milk and dairy products should not be given to pets. But on the other hand, people give them. I’m a little confused as to what is true!

It is not usually preferred. As milk is easily available at every home, people tend to provide it. Also, there are so many false assumptions.

Vets exist for a reason, it is not a smart decision to give pets human medicines without the guidance of your vet. Their bodies and the way their systems work might be similar to humans but it is not the same
