Wake up- hustle-sleep-repeat. Hasn’t this become our mantra to live life? Living the same monotonous life definitely makes us dull. Monotony doesn’t promote motivation. We need a break from our routines every now and then, not necessarily a long vacation, just a quick escape. And what better escape than doing something we already love- our hobbies.
For some it may be engaging in art work, for some it may be training at the gym, for some it may be reading, for some it may be grooving to some good music or maybe crocheting. For some it may be gardening while for some it may be writing articles related to medical content. Even a good 30 mins to 1 hr of investment in our hobbies can make us feel refreshed, stress-free and we may feel as if we have accomplished something. Taking some time out for your hobbies isn’t time wasted but time invested in peace and mindfulness.
Benefits of having hobbies:
Various studies have proved that hobbies actually improve mental well-being. Persons who engaged in hobbies were less likely to suffer from depression. Also hobbies were found to be a great way to help with depression, anxiety, stress etc. Hobbies also provide a sense of life-satisfaction.
So, a little time away from work, with no pressure of financial or professional gain, investing time in hobbies is a great way towards a less stressful life.
