- **Awareness:** To eliminate the exploitation of surrogate mothers they need to be made aware of their rights and the associated risks to gain their informed consent. - **Clarity:** There is a need to clearly define terms such as close relatives, infertility etc. Also, the definition of infertility should be expanded to take into account the medical factors, and diseases of the intended parents. - **Reduce the age limit:** For intending womenwho intend to avail surrogacy from a minimum of 35 years. - **Make more inclusive** : The possibility to include unmarried women, same-sex couples, and unmarried and single men from availing of surrogacy should be explored. ---

This is truly disturbing. The idea of surrogacy meant to bring joy to families is being turned into a business of exploitation and manipulation. Forcing underprivileged women into surrogacy under false promises and selling infants is not just illegal, it’s inhumane. Strict regulation and regular auditing of fertility clinics should be made mandatory. DNA testing must be done before handing over the child to intended parents. And most importantly, there should be legal protection, counseling, and financial transparency for surrogate mothers they are not machines; they are humans with emotions and rights. Government should intervene in this matter. This Secunderabad fertility clinic scandal is horrific and is beyond unethical. It’s a wake up call for stricter oversight in India’s fertility industry. ---

This is a really distressing news. It is like exploiting one’s emotions and vulnerabilities. Strict rules and regulations must be implemented to regulate fertility clinics, particularly with records, informed consent process, transparency with the procedures and confidentiality measures. Also strict actions must be taken in case of any violation or non-adherence to the rules and regulations. No couple should ever again face this inhumanity. ---
