**INTRODUCTION**

It is a condition due to the long lasting heart valve damage after one or more illness episodes of ARF(Acute Rheumatic Fever it is condition occurs when the body sends out an autoimmune response when group A streptococcus bacterial infection occurs).One or more heart valve may lead to scarring or even stretching leading to issues with blood flowing.When these valves are damaged blood may either blackflow into your heart’s chambers or may become stuck and not be able to pumped out through the valves.

It is estimated that the at least 15.6 million people worldwide are living with RHD.

**SIGNS**  **AND SYMPTOMS**

Fever

Shortness of breath

Oedema

Fainting

Orthopnea

Chest Pain

Palpitation

**TREATMENT**

Important to test the diagnostic tests

ECG,ECHO

Antibiotics

Heart Valve surgery
