Antibiotics saves lives, but overusing them brings larger problem beyond just health. It makes the bacteria more resistant to the antibiotics leading to antibiotic resistance. This means that the drugs we use today may no longer work tomorrow. It could lead to infections that are harder, and sometimes impossible, to treat. More antibiotics are used, there are more chances that bacteria have to develop resistance and can lead to severe illness and to cure that never use leftover antibiotics unless prescribed and take food meat , fruits and vegetables ---

That’s true. I have seen this situation where antibiotics stop working just because of overusing antibiotics specially using Azithromycin. Mostly people don’t understand the use of antibiotics. People should get awareness about these antibiotics. ---

Its always mandatory to use antibiotics under prescription. After a certain level of dosage, yes the microbes become resistant to the same antibiotic. In that case the doctors look into the history and change the medication accordingly. Usually after few doses the body gains immunity and starts to have a defensive mechanism on its own. So in that case we many not require an antibiotic if the same pathogen enter the system for the second time. ---

Antibiotic resistance is a bigger burden than we know. In my opinion, a pharmacist should provide only the dosage specific tablets and ask the consumer when they approach with the same prescription trying to self administer antibiotics and put a stop to it right there. ---

When its required , it should be used. The antibiotics do have a course. That has to be completed . Both overuse and discounting the course has its cons. ---

Yes, when we use them too often, they stop working properly. This can cause antibiotic resistance. Over time, the bacteria learn how to “fight back” against the medicine.
