**1. Choosing the wrong country or university without research** A country with a high deportation rate and a university with complicated accreditations is a big NO!! **2. Ignoring visa rules or overstaying.** Always check the length of the student’s visa and the duration of the visa or temporary residency when choosing a country. **3. Not learning the local language early.** Not learning the local language will create an obstacle when interacting with people and patients. **4. Underestimating the climate and lifestyle changes.** Always be prepared for extreme temperatures. **5. Falling behind due to poor time management.** Managing time is important when you stay away from your family, especially managing studies and household together. **6. Not preparing for licensing exams like FMGE/USMLE from day one.** FMGE is a big exam with a huge bulk of 19 subjects, starting early will always help!! **7. Skipping networking or not engaging with seniors.** Not networking will limit your opportunities and exposure. **8. Over-relying on online notes instead of attending classes.** Attending lectures helps to clear concepts, and that is really important when it comes to applying theory to practical knowledge. **9. Not budgeting properly or getting into debt.** Budgeting is very important to manage everything and stay stress-free without drowning in debt. **10. Ignoring your health, both physical and mental.** Health is as important as academics, so keeping yourself healthy is required to survive the long during of MBBS. 🥀 **HAPPY LEARNING!!!** 🥀 ---
