Did you know that intralesional insulin is superior to intralesional botulinum toxin for treating keloids?

What are keloids? They are a type of raised scar that can form after the healing of injury has completed. It is caused by an excess of collagen in the skin during the healing process.

Mechanism of Action of Insulin in Scar Reduction

- fibroblast proliferation
- extracellular matrix remodelling
- scar related gene expression
