Pain in the knee joint.
Stiffness is characterized by sitting for longer periods and more particularly in the morning after waking up.
A characteristic feature of crepitus is seen along with decreased range and mobility and sometimes a feeling of instability.
Triggers are climbing or descending stairs, sitting after prolonged periods of standing or vice versa, and cold weather, which equals more pain.

Symptoms resemble to that of OA knee. Due to bone depletion medications that prevent degeneration of cartilage and strengthening the bone structure should be given along with proper dietary as well as lifestyle practices. External therapies will also be good for relieving pain. Quadriceps strengthening exercises would be beneficial. Vitamin D and Ca assessment will also be done.
