Types of approaches of GRDDS

- **Floating systems** -These systems, which include floating tablets and beads, use low-density polymers to remain buoyant in the stomach for extended periods.
- **Mucoadhesive systems** -These systems adhere to the stomach mucosa to provide long-lasting local medication administration.
- **Swelling and expanding systems** -These systems expand upon contact with gastric fluids to prevent premature emptying.
- **High-density systems** -These systems sink to the bottom of the stomach and remain there longer.
- **Magnetic systems** -These systems use external magnets to maintain the drug formulation within the stomach.
