Yes you are right as a former NEET aspirant, I’ve experienced how repeated exam delays and uncertainty impact mental health and career planning. Many deserving students lose valuable years due to systemic issues. A stable and transparent exam process is essential to support India’s future doctors.
This things might hinder student’s confidence, preparations , and may increase his stress level
Some families future depend on his son future and his studies
It’s absolutely correct that constant postponements and lack of transparency leave medical students in uncertainty, harming mental health, confidence, and career plans. While global exams run smoothly, India’s national exam chaos raises questions. Students deserve stability, clarity, and respect. Exam reform isn’t optional—it’s urgent.
The Crisis is very true. Starting out from internship, already everything feels so uncertain and these delayed exams and lack of structure tops everything. This whole uncertainty does gives a big impact on both physical and mental health, from episodes of depression to the list of deficiencies . Making small term goals in studying and actively engaging in upskilling does helped me to cope with this uncertainty for some extent.
But it is sad that thousands of medical graduates have to go through this just because of the lack of clear structuring by the government. Hopefully it changes soon.
The failure to conduct the exams systematically and at specified time shows the lack of accountability of the conducting authorities which fail to comprehend the mental suffering, self doubts and delay the students face.
Yes it’s absolutely right! The problem is our Indian education system it’s not about students, it’s not about their hardwork it’s only about the system which handled by this upper minister’s. Each and every time students are giving exams waiting for their results and obvious it’s not only about result on paper it’s related to their whole future. This minister’s only want the puppet which is handled by them not ruler who will ruled the india with their intelligence and hardwork
Because of this postponement, students faced a long waiting period, counseling delays, and anxiety over careers even more pathetic thing is there have been rumors and fake notices circulating on social media about postponements
Lack of social reform skills among the higher officials has imposed a huge threat among the students, it needs to be regulated by governing bodies.
Medical students are tired of repeated delays, changing statements, and poorly managed national exams. If global exams like USMLE or PLAB can run smoothly, why can’t India ensure transparency and consistency in one national medical exam? This continued uncertainty is pushing many students to look for options oversease
Not only the delay but the way every student has a different perspective or an approach to deal with examinations also matters. Some prefer MCQs while the others excel in the theoretical approach. The authorities shall also consider how examinations can be made in these ways.
This sort of Delays and Hurdles at this level just act as an fuel to the fire that is enough for one to break mentally that has been fighting from all others just in order to make his/her dream come true.
Repeated exam delays and shifting decisions place an unfair emotional burden on students. A system that demands excellence must also be prompt, reliable, and transparent. Reforming this system is not optional — it’s urgent.
The uncertainty in the medical exams schedule just adds another layer of stress to the preparation. Many aspirants get demotivated and lose focus. Years of hard work become futile. The onus lies on the educational authorities and policy makers and there should atleast be some portal or agency for students to hold them accountable.
Absolutely right. The system itself is the real culprit due to which students suffer. this mismanagement of the system creates lots of stress and anxiety among the students who study so hard day and night, but the higher system does not care about the student’s emotions
This thing feel too connected. Being a AKTU university student they delay the exam and results regularly and then rushed to finish semester within 2 months. It makes a genuine question - Is we earning the meaningful degree or just clearing papers?
It sucks the mental health and makes the education a formality.
Rescheduling and delaying medical entrance exams has become part and parcel of daily life in this era, which, as a result, not only affects academic students’ lives but also their mental health, career progression and so on. These sudden changes turn the sheer hard work of youngsters into anxiety and frustration.
The effect is not limited to academics, it is a crisis reflecting systemic issues because of Administrative inefficiency, short timeline, limited resources and inconsistent regulations. Furthermore, when exams are delayed, it creates a mishap like loss of internship opportunities, deferral of intake for higher education or for employment, causing a ripple effect throughout the entire generation of healthcare professionals.
Addressing this concern is mandatory. The government should be transparent, implement student-centric policies and make timely decisions to ensure that ambition is nurtured, not defined, for young medics.
The delays, postponing exams was understood, but PREPONING an exam ? This happened in 2024 NEET PG.
We know the flaws, but blaming the system will only take us so far! What we can do is create a strong voice for ourselves, be a part of groups and be vocal about these issues to get attention and ultimately the result we want.
This is the most important topic to talk upon, students in india are lagging from the worlds education system which will lead to loss of indian students. The delay in career of hardworking students may lead to loss of interest in there work which is silently contributing in loss of countrys education system
The delays in exams in India in the medical education system is a cause of uncertainty, psychological distress, and career procrastination and creates questions of accountability, transparency, and student welfare.
The problem of exam delays in the Indian medical education system is a mental health issue, as it affects the careers, schedule, and motivation of students, and thus requires immediate changes and responsibility.
