A woman featured on TLC’s My Strange Addiction reported drinking up to 100 cups of coffee daily, far exceeding the FDA’s recommended safe limit of about 4–5 cups per day.
She experienced chronic diarrhea and other symptoms, highlighting the serious health risks of excessive caffeine intake, including digestive problems, increased heart rate, anxiety, and dependence.
This case raises important questions about caffeine safety, addiction, and when daily habits can become harmful.
I don’t drink tea or coffee. Caffeine is a very strong stimulant. If there is a high, there is definitely a low! I feel self-stimulation is more powerful than out-sourcing it. Not to forget the side effects that it can cause!
Lethal doses of caffeine have been reported at blood concentrations of 80 to 100 μg/mL, which can result from ingesting approximately 10 g or more of caffeine
1-2 cups of coffee on daily basis is safe for our health. But,if you are taking more than 4 cups of coffee daily then it will affect your health. You may face symptoms like anxiety, sleep disturbances, acid reflux, increased heart rate and high blood pressure.
Avoid taking coffee more than 4 cups on daily basis, also do not add sugar.
Moderate caffeine can improve alertness and focus, but excessive intake may quickly shift from habit to dependence. Staying within recommended limits and listening to your body’s signals is key for safe consumption.
