Yes, it is challenging journey to the parents as well as the children with cerebral palsy. Society views them from a different perspective, which is not always right and comfortable. These children deserve to live normally as every other child.
Sometimes CP symptoms may appear later. If the child shows dominance of one side of limbs before 12 months (eg- using right hand predominance for holding objects etc) , CP should be suspected and further diagnosis should be carried out.
Such an insightful post! Cerebral palsy may affect muscle control and movement, but it doesn’t limit a person’s potential. With physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy, and a supportive environment, individuals with CP can achieve remarkable milestones.
