BLS: Options Available in your place?

Since we have members from across various healthcare fields here, I wish to understand various aspects of Basic Life Support (BLS) from you.

  1. Is obtaining BLS certification a part of your academic curriculum?
  2. Which BLS is available? One from AHA?
  3. Is skills (in person) test offered in your area and who offers it?
  4. Do you know if all healthcare workers eg nurses, paramedics and doctors are mandated to get BLS certification and maintain the certificate every 2 years.
    And other kind of details will help.
