**Introduction** Every medicine, vaccine or treatment that saves lives did not just happen. Clinical trials were. These medicines were tested and proven to be safe.. Most people do not know much about how these medicines are made and tested. **Body** 1. Why Clinical Trials Are Important - They help us get from what we learn in a laboratory to treatments that people can use - No medicine or treatment can be approved without clinical trials - They make sure that treatments are safe for people to use 1. How Clinical Trials Work - There are four steps to clinical trials. From small tests to big studies - People volunteer to be in these trials and help us learn more about medicines - There are rules to keep people safe during these trials 1. Problems That Researchers Face - It is hard to find people from backgrounds to be in these trials - Sometimes researchers do not have enough money to do their work - It can take a long time. 10 To 15 years. For new treatments to be available to people **Conclusion** Clinical research is very important for modern medicine. Every clinical trial gives us hope.
