Beauty Sleep “Is it real or myth”

All day long our skin acts like a barrier and protect us from sunlight, pollution and bacteria. A good night sleep is very important to restore the vitality of the skin and to counter sudden science of aging.

Have you ever wondered what happens to our skin when we sleep ?

During sleep the skin gets a chance to regenerate and restart to get us ready for the next day. When we are in deep sleep our skin used to repair itself and make new collagen making the skin look more firm and youthful, reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
When we sleep well on a consistent basis, our skin will look so much well, glowing, healthier and vibrant.

Beauty sleep lowers the stress hormone i.e. cortisol. When you are not getting enough sleep, the cortisol level increases which decreases the skin function and will lead to skin aging.
That is why always aim for 7-9 hours consistent sleep for a healthy and glowing skin.
