In current lifestyle , stress has become a part of the daily life. Because of continuous academic pressure , work responsibilities and many more people often feel mentally exhausted. Hence this stress disrupts the basic physiology the body.
In such conditions , ASHTANG YOGA explained by Acharya Patanjali is the better solution to deal with the stress. Ashtang Yoga contributes in physical , mantal and spiritual well being.
Ashtang means Eight , Ashtang Yoga means Eight yoga sutras.

Maximum people start straight with the meditation which is incorrect as meditation is the 7th step as explained above. Ashtang Yoga guides us physically as well as mentally to cope up with our daily routine , helps developing in basic disciplines and self control.

Have you ever heard of Ashtang Yoga ? If yes , at which step are you on ?

Have been practicing yoga asanas for some years now! And as you’ve rightly mentioned that “maximum people skip straight to…”, I for one have been skipping straight to Asana, Pranayam and Dhyana.

I love the book Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra. I read it many times; every time I find something new. I am still learning and understanding the book.

Yoga can be benificial in many ways. Nice article

Basically yoga promotes ethical living, physical discipline, breath control, and meditation. It aims to achieve mental clarity, self-control, and ultimately spiritual liberation

Very informative article. Definitely yoga has got great power to heal many problems. Doing yoga regularly has very positive effect on body and mind.

Unlike more passive forms of yoga, the structured, repetitive sequence of Ashtanga requires intense mental focus and physical discipline. By anchoring attention entirely on movement and breath control, it forces you to step out of cognitive rumination and chronic stress patterns. It’s a fantastic practice for building both mental toughness and nervous system balance.

Very well explained. I’ve always wanted to try incorporating yoga in my daily routine but haven’t had the time or focus to do it properly. This post gave me the motivation to actually put it into action.

we had this as a part of our college syllabus, and honestly, very informative for us STEM kids!
