Are We Losing the Ability to Be Alone?

We live in a world where silence is rare and being alone often feels uncomfortable. The moment there’s a pause, we reach for our phones, scroll endlessly, or fill the space with noise. It’s almost like we’re afraid of being left alone with our own thoughts.

But solitude isn’t loneliness. It’s where clarity begins. It’s where we understand ourselves better our thoughts, fears, and what we actually want. Without it, we risk becoming strangers to our own minds, constantly distracted but rarely aware.

Maybe the discomfort isn’t in being alone… but in what we might discover when we finally are.

When was the last time you sat with yourself… without needing a distraction?
